My name is Chris Drew. I will be working as part of a committee to review and propose updates to the SustainRT page. I work at the Springfield Greene County Library. I have been a paying but not significantly active member of ALA and SustainRT for a few years. I am using this as a chance to practice some web and usability skills and get more involved in the Association.
I am interested in SustainRT because
- The impacts of climate change are already being felt.
- Libraries are trusted members of our communities and should be on the edge of the issue in general.
- The focus on weighing environmental concerns with economic feasibility, social equitability allow for serious reflection on the impact of any decision.
