Introduction
Hello, my name is Lora Amsberryaugier. I will be working on the ALA GODORT site.
I have been a member of ALA since the late nineties. My membership in the organization includes LLAMA, LITA, ALCTS, and GODORT.
The ALA staff liaison for GODORT is Rosalind Bradley. Susanne Caro is the chair our GODORT. I co-chair the GODORT Technology committee with Suzanne Reinman.
My Work
I am the Associate Dean of Library and Information Services at the University of New Orleans. I have worked at the Library since 2001 and have served as Associate Dean since 2011.
I am very interested in how people use technology to learn and to solve problems. To this end, I am developing an innovation lab in my Library.
My Hobbies
I enjoy building things and crafts. I do a little wood working, I sew, knit, crochet, and am learning coding and 3D modeling.
I volunteer with an animal shelter and use my Facebook page to promote animal adoption and humane care of all animals.
