The PR Xchange Event at ALA Annual offers visitors the opportunity to view and take home sample promotional materials from libraries across North America. Approximately 1,000 ALA Annual Conference attendees visit the PR Xchange event each year. The PR Xchange Event will also showcase the winners of this year's PR Xchange Awards Competition at the PR Xchange Event. The PR Xchange Committee is charged with coordinating the annual awards competition, under the direction of the Marketing and Communications Community of Practice, Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA).

All libraries are invited to mail their promotional materials to be shared with colleagues at the PR Xchange Event.

Mailing instructions and labels can be found at http://www.ala.org/llama/sites/ala.org.llama/files/content/2019%20PR%20Xchange%20mailing%20labels.pdf

This year we have invited the following to participate:

* 2019 PR Xchange Award Winners

* 2019 John Cotton Dana Library Public Relations Award Winners

* Kathy Dempsey, editor of Marketing Library Services (MLS) newsletter, and author of The Accidental Library Marketer.

* Representatives of the PR Xchange Committee will be on-hand to answer questions

The 2019 PR Xchange Awards Competition received 440 entries in print and electronic formats from over 100 institutions, including public, academic, school, state, and special libraries. Entries were evaluated by a jury of 12 in-person judges and 38 virtual judges. Submissions were assessed based on the quality of content, format, design, creativity and originality. The jury, which included a group of talented marketing professionals, graphic designers, librarians, and visual artists were very impressed by the innovative work submitted by these libraries.

This year, we have awarded 26 electronic winners and 29 print winners. A complete listing of this year's winners is available at http://bit.ly/2019-PRXchangeAwards
