Marshall Breeding is an independent consultant, speaker, and author. He is the creator and editor of Library Technology Guides and the libraries.org online directory of libraries on the Web. His monthly column Systems Librarian appears in Computers in Libraries; he is the Editor for Smart Libraries Newsletter published by the American Library Association, and has authored the annual Library Systems Report published by American Libraries since 2014. American Library Association, Library Journal from 2002-2013 and by He has authored nine issues of ALA’s Library Technology Reports, and has written many other articles and book chapters. Marshall has edited or authored eight books and regularly teaches workshops and gives presentations at library conferences on a wide range of topics.

Jason Bengtson
Assistant Director, Library IT Services,Kansas State University Libraries

Jason Bengtson is the Assistant Director, IT for Kansas State University Libraries. He has worked in library technology and library technology management, in various forms, over the past ten years. He is a full stack web developer with a broad array of project experience. He was an invited panelist for MLA's 2015 Top Tech Trends and is the author of numerous articles and book chapters on technology in library environments.

BiblioTech Director, Laura Cole, has worked in county government for the past 15 years; first in Washington County, Oregon, and, since 2008, for Bexar County, Texas. In 2012, she was privileged to be charged with leading the development, implementation and of BiblioTech, the first all-digital public library in the United States.  Laura has since directed BiblioTech’s expansion through numerous community partnerships including VIA Metropolitan Transit, University Health System, San Antonio Housing Authority and 14 area school districts. Laura has engaged in dialogue with government officials and librarians across the world about the need to challenge the inveterate understanding of the public library while fortifying its core mission and the opportunity afforded by digital libraries to meet this objective.   She holds a Master of Public Administration from UTSA (go ‘runners!) and Master of Library   Science from Texas Woman’s University.

Justin de la Cruz

Justin has worked on technology training for library staff and patrons in both public and academic libraries. At the AUC Woodruff Library he collaborates with faculty and students on technology projects involving multimedia production, 3D design, and social media. His recent publications, including a chapter in ACRL’s Applying Library Values to Emerging Technology, have focused on library staff professional development. Justin recently joined the editorial advisory board for Library Hi Tech and is working on an ALA grant-funded research project investigating the information seeking and sharing behaviors of LGBTQIA+ students.

Marydee Ojala edits Online Searcher: Information Discovery, Technology, Strategies and writes its business research column (“The Dollar Sign”). She plans conference programs for Internet Librarian International (London, UK), WebSearch University (various sites in the U.S. and Europe), Data Summit, Cognitive Computing Summit, and Enterprise Search & Discovery. A long-time observer of the information industry, she speaks frequently at international conferences. She has adjunct faculty status at the School of Library and Information Science at IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis). Her professional career began at BankAmerica Corporation, San Francisco, directing a worldwide program of research and information services. She is active in the Indiana chapter of SLA, IFLA's Reference and Information Services Section (RISS) and IOLUG (Indiana Online User Group). Her undergraduate degree is from Brown University and her MLS was earned at the University of Pittsburgh.

Reina Williams
Reference Librarian and Education Coordinator,Library of Rush University Medical Center

Reina Williams has volunteered and worked in libraries since she was 14 years old. Initially planning to pursue a professional career in art curation she graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Bachelors of Fine Art, Art History and Art Criticism. After realizing her heart was devoted to the library world she continued her education at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois graduating with a Master in Library and Information Science degree. She was a tenured library faculty member and Department Chairperson of the library at Wilbur Wright College, One of the City Colleges of Chicago until joining the Rush Library in March of 2017 as the Education Coordinator. She currently serves as a Director-at-Large on the Executive Board of the Illinois Library Association, Board liaison to the Illinois Association of College and Research Libraries, and a member of the Alumni Council of School of Information Science at Dominican University.
