Public Advocacy and Awareness

Duties

  • Reach out to ALA administration and leadership to advocate for sustainability across the organization
  • Connect with Conference Services and the Conference Committee to lend support to help plan and implement more sustainable conference practices
  • Encourage the adoption of the 2015 Resolution on the Importance of Sustainable Libraries among ALA Divisions, Round Tables, and other library organizations
  • Communicate with vendors to encourage sustainable practices and leadership
