Who Should Attend

This on-demand webinar is intended for public library workers, both those attending and not attending PLA 2018 in Philadelphia, with limited knowledge or experience with PLA Conference.

Instructors

Kimberly KnightKimberly Knight is the Central Area manager with the Prince Georges County Memorial Library System in Maryland. She has served all ages in diverse settings from California to the Metro area of DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Kimberly is an ALA Councilor-at-Large and is active on committees in ALA, PLA, Virginia Library Association, and the DC Library Association. Kimberly completed the ALA Leadership Institute in 2015, the PLA Leadership Academy in 2017, and is enrolled in the ALA-APA Certified Public Library Administrators Program. She has presented at VLA, ALA, and BCALA conferences, webinars, and has written for Public Libraries Online about librarianship, management, and leadership.


Juliane MorianJuliane Morian serves as the associate director/UX at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library in Michigan, and is responsible for the user experience across all branches and departments. After graduating from the University of Michigan’s School of Information she began her career as a usability specialist. She parlayed her passion for the user experience into librarianship and public administration. Her set of skills include developing instruction for staff and public, consulting with vendors, and project management.
