BRYN MAWR, Pennsylvania — Applications for United for Libraries' National Friends of Libraries Week Award are due Dec. 4, 2018.

United for Libraries coordinated the 13th annual National Friends of Libraries Week Oct. 21-27, 2018. Libraries and Friends across the country celebrated with city and statewide proclamations, and events including fundraisers, membership drives, author signings, and more. Two Friends groups will receive the National Friends of Libraries Week Award, $250 each, in honor of their celebrations during the week.
 

Applications must include a one- to two-page summary of all activities and efforts in conjunction with the celebration of National Friends of Libraries Week. Applicants will be judged on creativity and innovation; involvement of Friends, library staff, Trustees, and/or advisory committee; recognition of Friends group, and promotion of Friends group to the community, school, students, and/or faculty.
