New Member?
If you are sure you are a new member joining ALA for the very first time, click the Join Online button located in the right hand column of this page. Enter your email and you will be taken to our secure online membership form to make your selections.
Renewing/Rejoining?
If you are an ALA member now, or have been an ALA member in the past, click the Renew Online button located in the right hand column of this page (you need to log in to access your renewal record). Upon login, you will be provided with your renewal options. Use the Express option to renew without adding any new division or round table memberships.

► Please be aware that former ALA members who complete a new membership form without logging in may accidentally create a second membership record that places you into an incorrect membership category. In such a scenario, your correct dues will likely be a higher amount. In such cases, ALA will contact you to ensure that you have a single, up-to-date, correct member record, which reflects your correct member type and correct dues amount. While this updating takes place, you may experience delays in members-only access to ALA's website and to ALA Connect.
