What have you recently worked on that you’re excited about?

I am excited to be part of former ALA President Loida Febo-Garcia's Advisory Team on International Relations (with Academic Librarian Robin Kear and Past-President of ALA Barbara Ford). It's been fun and productive to organize learning opportunities on webinar with the International Relations Office, and setting up the "I am ALA International" spotlights featuring ALA international members!

Where do you hope this will take you/your organization in the future?

I hope to continue being involved in international librarianship and continue supporting colleagues who are interested in this work. I have worked abroad as a librarian, published in the field, and have participated in international LIS conferences, I'd like to continue building meaningful work that focuses on global collaboration, and share with others too.

How are you involved with ALA and what’s your favorite thing about being an ALA member?

I am involved with ALA in a number of ways: I am part of ALA Council, and am active in divisions such as LLAMA and ACRL. My favorite thing about being an ALA member is that I get to connect with so many folks in the field who are engaged in in the profession. ALA brings us all together, to discuss, explore and bridge new learning opportunities for one another.

What are you currently reading?

I tend to read non-fiction at times and am currently reading The Passion Paradox by Brad Stulberg and Steve Magness and Home Remedies Stories by Xuan Juliana Wang.
