Professional experience, particularly LLAMA activities
Three weeks ago I started my position as Assistant Director of Collections & Technology at Nashville Public Library.  I am the current Chair of the Leadership Development Committee and a LLAMA mentor. I am also a member of the LOMS Planning & Evaluation of Library Services Committee.

How has membership in LLAMA helped your career?
I joined LLAMA because I wanted to be actively involved in my profession.  I also tended to be reserved in my interactions both personally and professionally.  Membership in LLAMA has allowed me to meet and discuss current issues with colleagues working in diverse organizations and inspired my growth to be a leader that walks the talk. Another benefit is that no one believes I was ever an introvert.

If you had not chosen your present career, what would you be doing?
I would probably have worked in social services working with children and adults with mental illness.

What is your favorite music album of all time?
Des’ree, I ain’t movin’
