I believe that LITA should balance experienced leadership with fresh, new perspectives. I am an advocate for LITA to sharpen and use the talents and skill sets of its members to increase knowledge about technology in the library field. This knowledge is inclusive of library professionals, of all backgrounds and skill levels. I am active, enthusiastic, and committed to serving. I want to help LITA realize its vision of lifelong learning and optimizing member experience by being of value, useful, and informative of current technology and what’s on the horizon in our profession.

Major Accomplishments

In all of my accomplishments, I have recognized the strengths in others and within myself to create solutions to problems and work towards a common goal. Such accomplishments include working with committee members and panelists to run two successful 2017 LITA Top Tech programs or collaborating with a sub-group of Web Coordinating Committee (WCC) Members to previously reorganize the LITA “Get Involved” page, which was later styled by another talented WCC member. In my work at a previous institution, I have identified needs within the ILL department and worked with them to apply spam filters, which increased efficiency in their work. In my current role, I have been responsible for leading efforts to create a responsive, dynamic website that impacts my university community and practicing clinicians.
