I'm doing some great programs that involve crafting and writing - which I love. I worked on a project for a few years building Happiness Rooms, a concept that takes the unique resources of a library and combines them with interactive elements and displays. It helps people further explore the themes of happiness, joy, positivity, gratitude, calm, mindfulness and flow in their own lives.
Response to question: What are you working on now that you’re excited about? (at your job and/or related to your ALA involvement)
I work with our library’s 3D Printer. We have successfully held programs to build 3D printed prosthetic hands to donate to E-nable. This summer, I am planning on combining my love of circuitry with 3D printing in a workshop held for Teens. I am also excited to be a part of YALSA’s Amazing Audiobooks for the second year, Teen Tech Week Committee and Co-Chair of National Teen Lock-In, held annually in July.

I am excited to be part of former ALA President Loida Febo-Garcia's Advisory Team on International Relations (with Academic Librarian Robin Kear and Past-President of ALA Barbara Ford). It's been fun and productive to organize learning opportunities on webinar with the International Relations Office, and setting up the "I am ALA International" spotlights featuring ALA international members!
