Diachronic Works, the IFLA Library Reference Model (LRM), and RDA: Three Perspectives
Monday, January 28, 2019 | 1-2:30 p.m. | Hyatt Regency Seattle, Regency A
As we move further into the world of RDA and the IFLA Library Reference Model (LRM), one of the concepts under development is a distinction between “diachronic” and “static” works. This change in how we think of resources issued over time will be important as libraries transition to the new RDA. This forum will focus on the impact of the LRM and the diachronic works on serials cataloging using RDA, related LC-PCC policy statements, and how the concept of the diachronic works relates to the practices of the ISSN Network.
