Registration

Registration is now closed for Teen Read Week 2007. Thanks for registering!

YALSA is a nonprofit organization that depends on its members for support. By registering, you let us know that teen literacy is a concern and you are willing to do something about it! You have told YALSA that this program is worthwhile, and we will continue to sponsor the week.

2007 Incentives

Incentives for registration this year included:

  1. All YALSA members who register will receive a free paperback book, courtesy Teen Read Week Promotional Partner Scholastic!
  2. The first 100 registrants to sign up for YALSA's Teen Read Week will receive a free unabridged audiobook from a Printz or Alex Award -winning author. Teens at your library will enjoy hearing their favorites novels come to life on audio. One lucky winner, selected at random, will receive an audiobook library collection of twelve titles by Printz and Alex Award–winning authors. Prizes include audiobooks by Angela Johnson, Markus Zusak, M. T. Anderson, Meg Rosoff, Kazuo Ishiguro, David Mitchell, Michael Lewis, and more. These free audiobooks are compliments of Teen Read Week Promotional Partner Listening Library.
  3. The first 500 registrants to sign up for YALSA's Teen Read Week will receive a galley from Hachette Book Group USA/Little, Brown Books for Young Readers and be entered into a drawing for a signed set of the Twilight series, including Eclipse, the newest book available August 7 or a signed set of the Gossip Girls paperbacks, books 1-12, plus the hardcover prequel which will be available in October.
  4. The first 50 new regular members to join YALSA will receive the Chronicles for Young Readers gift set by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, which includes copies of A Rumor of Dragons, Night of the Dragons, The Nightmare Lands, To the Gates of Palanthas, Hope’s Flamem and Dawn of the Dragons courtesy of Teen Read Week Corporate Sponsor Mirrorstone Books, an imprint of Wizards of the Coast.
  5. The first fifty new members to join YALSA will also receive nine Michael L. Printz Award–winning titles courtesy of Penguin Books for Young Readers. An Abundance of Katherines and Looking for Alaska by John Green; John Lennon: All I Want is the Truth by Elizabeth Partridge; Fat Kid Rules the World by K.L. Going; Postcards from No Man’s Land by Aidan Chambers; My Hearbeat by Garret Freyman-Weyr; A Step from Heaven by An Na; Many Stones by Carolyn Coman; and Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson.
