The Joint Conference of Librarians of Color (JCLC) will bring hundreds of library staffers from all types of libraries and backgrounds, diversity advocates and educators to Dallas to network and exchange ideas on how to better serve increasingly diverse populations, especially underrepresented communities of color.

With the theme "Gathering at the Waters: Embracing Our Spirits,Telling Our Stories," the conference will offer tools to create and support diversity policies, programs, and services for library staff who serve diverse communities. Its 100 plus programs will focus on literacy, equity of access, diversity best practices, multicultural collection development, recruitment, service delivery and much more.

Media Credentials

Press representatives must register for the Joint Conference of Librarians of Color in order to be granted admittance. Press badges are granted to editorial press only and provide full admission to the exhibits and all education sessions. However, paid special events (author luncheons, tours, etc.) must be registered and paid for. Press badges are not mailed out pre-show and must be picked up onsite.
