 Mission and Goals
- Established in 1988 as the Library Consortia Integrated Systems I.G.; name changed in 1989, renewed in 1991, 1993, 1997 and 2001. To discuss issues pertinent to the technology of implementing and running shared library processing and retrieval systems among cooperating libraries, which include database configuration, patron files, shared files across institutions, direct patron files, loan policies, licensing and contracts, retrieval systems, multiple libraries linking different systems, etc.
