Dinner with a Local Librarian
This year, the Local Arrangements Committee has organized two opportunities for you to dine with a local librarian:
Dinner Cruise–Catawba Queen
Wednesday, November 4, 5:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
buses depart at 5:30 p.m. from the Charlotte Convention Center, MLK, Jr. Blvd. entrance
This event is sold out.
Join us for dinner with a local librarian on board the Catawba Queen at beautiful Lake Norman, located approximately forty-five minutes from downtown Charlotte. The Mississippi paddlewheel cruises along the shoreline of Lake Norman, where you’ll see exquisite homes and beautiful wildlife. Dinner includes your choice of prime rib, herb roasted chicken, or smoked salmon filet. Price includes dinner, tax, gratuity, and round-trip motorcoach transportation between the Charlotte Convention Center and the Catawba Queen. Space is limited and must be reserved in advance via the AASL registration system. Subject to cancellation if a minimum number have not signed up prior to September 15, 2009.
Dinner in Downtown Charlotte
Wednesday, November 4, 6:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
Fee: Sign up for this event at the conference.
The Local Arrangements Committee has arranged for small groups to dine with local librarians at a variety of restaurants in downtown Charlotte. Stop by the Charlotte Convention Center to see what restaurants are available for sign-up. Sign-up is exclusively onsite and must be done prior to 4:00 p.m. on the day of the event to confirm seating with the restaurants. Separate checks have been arranged with the restaurants.
Independent School Section Networking Reception
Thursday, November 5, 8:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
Fee: $34 (Advanced registration is required for this event.)
Join other Independent School Section colleagues during an informal reception at the Hilton Charlotte Center City. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.
