American Libraries, in cooperation with Library Video Network, has produced a video documentary titled Loss and Recovery: Librarians Bear Witness to September 11, 2001. The video consists of interviews with librarians who were in or near the World Trade Center on that horrific day. In their own words, they describe what they saw and how it has affected them personally and professionally. The video premiered at the ALA Annual Conference in Atlanta and is available for $20 from Library Video Network at www.lvn.org. I urge you to consider showing this video at conferences, meetings, or other events. Every librarian in America should see this film. It will make you proud of our profession.
