Work It, Spectrum!

Here's a Winter 2018 round-up of recent promotions and job news from ALA's Spectrum Scholars.  Please join us in congratulating everyone! 

Jennifer Gibson, 2011 Scholar, has been named the Manager of the Reference Department at St. Louis County Library.  Jennifer shares, "I am thrilled to take over leadership of this department; we are a very large and busy public library system and I feel so fortunate."

Pearl Ly, 2006 Scholar, joined Palomar College in January as the Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Pearl shares, "I'm very excited to return to my hometown community college, to work with some amazing people, and to help open a new library!"

Anita-Marie E. Martinez, 2015 Scholar, graduated in December and started in February as the Los Angeles Public Library's Bilingual Outreach Librarian for the Northeast Region.

Sara Powell, 2015 Scholar, started working in January as a Research Librarian at the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Yale University.

Ariel Scotese, 2016 Scholar, was promoted to Access Services and Outreach Librarian for the Cornell Law Library. Ariel shares, "The Spectrum Scholarship program made a significant difference to me in starting my law librarian career."

Chloe Van Stralendorff, 2016 Scholar, has been promoted to Communications Specialist II for the Communications and Public Relations Department at Anaheim Public Library (Anaheim, CA).
