Describe yourself in three words

Professional, dedicated, honest.

What are you reading (or listening to on your mobile device)?

I am reading "Greenlights" by Matthew McConaughey.

Describe ACRL in three words

Collegial, educational, necessary.

What do you value about ACRL?

As an ACRL member, I value the ability the organization has given me to interact and network with other librarians across the country. ACRL's educational programs are also invaluable to its members as we attempt to navigate the ever-changing landscape that is academic librarianship.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

As the Director of Library Services, my main function is to promote the library and our services to the faculty, students, and staff that we serve. I try to accomplish this by sitting on assorted campus wide committees, including the Strategic Planning Council, Academic Leaders, and the Academic Support Advisory Council. My staff even lets me sit at the reference desk from time to time ;-)

In your own words

Looking back at my career, although it has taken some twists and turns, librarianship was the right choice for me. I count myself lucky that I can honestly say that I love what I do!
