Carole & Stan Fiore

Carole D. Fiore has been a member of the American Library Association (ALA) and the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) for 23 years.  During 2001-2002, she served as President of ALSC.  She received ALA’s John Cotton Dana Library Public Relations Award in 1994.  Since 1990, Carole has acted as a management analyst and public library consultant for youth services for the State Library of Florida.  During her 35-year career as a librarian, she has served as a school library media specialist in the school district of Philadelphia, a senior youth services librarian in the Tampa Hillsborough County Public Library System, director of children’s services at the Dunedin Public Library, an instructor at the University of Tampa and Florida State University, author and speaker.  Her husband, Stan, was an electrical engineer for Sperry Univac, now Unisys, prior to his retirement in 1982.
