As part of the recommendations of the ALA's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Strategic Direction Implementation Plan, the Office for Diversity, Literacy and Outreach Services and a group of the 2017 Emerging Leaders created a Speakers Bureau of people with expertise in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) to aid program planners in choosing speakers. (Inclusion in the EDI Speakers Bureau does not necessarily constitute an endorsement by the American Library Association.)
